Asset Protection Trusts
Experts in Asset Protection Trusts based in Northamptonshire.
You may decide for a variety of reasons to remove certain assets from your Estate during your lifetime, by passing them in to protective Trusts, so that their ownership is (usually after a period of seven years) no longer yours and therefore the asset(s) cannot be considered part of your Estate.
This not only has the effect of protection of the asset(s) whilst in the Trusts, but negates entirely any probate administration costs from your Estate because the Trust is not part of your Estate. Probate administration fees when completed by a solicitor for example, equate to approximately 3-5% of the total value of the Estate. Fees applied by banks are generally much higher and can be as much as 8-10% of the Estate value.
Once again, it is vital to note that correct advice is given on Trusts and their usage. We give such advice.
